Sips is an Edinburgh-based pop-up bar company established in 2016. The company has been present at major events across Scotland throughout the years, from Fly Festival to the Edinburgh Fringe.

In 2022, the new St James Quarter arrived in Edinburgh city centre. The highly prestigious and long-awaited shopping and lifestyle destination brings together top retail brands, restaurants and public spaces to one convenient location. This includes a stunning rooftop bar, with views over Edinburgh’s historic city centre.

Skyline Sips was born – a pop-up bar in the most enviable location – on level 5 of St James Quarter.

The team at Skyline Sips enlisted the support of MB. We couldn’t wait to get started on this exciting project and assisted the bar with the organising of two launch events. Branding was key to this process and our team set to work on designing new logos which would capture the vibrancy and contemporary nature of Skyline Sips.

Once the logo had been created, signage was installed which was bold, yet sympathetic to the location. Menus and merchandise were commissioned, tables decorated and the venue was almost ready for the launch nights.MB’s content and PR team drew up guest lists, inviting local influencers, newspaper and magazine journalists and radio and television personalities, as well as local dignitaries and St James Quarter staff.

Our content gurus created a buzz and lots of talkability, through social media, ahead of the events. The team also created content for the St James Quarter app and our photographer worked tirelessly to make sure that every picture told the story and showcased this stunning location.
